Who We Are

The Santa Clara County Food System Alliance (SCCFSA) is a collaborative of stakeholders working on issues of healthy food access, agricultural production, and food distribution in Santa Clara County. The SCCFSA endeavors to promote a sustainable food system in the South Bay by responding to the lack of access to healthy food, the loss of agricultural land in the southern part of the county, and the need for an increase in local food distribution.

Key Areas of Focus

Enhancing Community Engagement & Education: Increasing awareness of the importance of food choices, food access and the role of the community in creating a healthy food system

Improving Access to a Healthy, Affordable, Food Supply: Assuring all residents are food secure and have access to sufficient affordable, healthy, and whenever feasible, locally-grown food

Strengthening Agriculture & Food System Viability: Creating a resilient food system that ensures the long-term economic sustainability of agricultural and ranching operations in the County

Advancing Environmental Stewardship: Ensuring the protection and preservation of farm and ranch lands, and the conservation of natural resources in order to sustain the long-term viability of agriculture and the environment
